At Breach House, we believe that psychological stimulation is just as important as the physical care that we give and we strive to provide a wide and varied diary of events both inside and outside of the Home, to cater for as many interests as possible.
To give you just a taste of the activities that we offer, our regular scheduled activities include:
• Craft Session
• Bingo
• Aromatherapy
• Visiting musicians (monthly)
• Visiting Activities Organiser
• Church Service (monthly)
• Manicuring
• Tea-Dances
Each resident has an individual party along with a cake and extras for their special occasions. Individual reminiscences activities are carried out in a 1 to 1 basis as needs required.
We also hold many additional activities such as 'Fish & chip supper' evenings, Theatre visits, Outings to local attractions such as the Cadbury's chocolate factory, pub lunches and pub evenings, and larger in-house events such as our annual Autumn Garden Party and our Xmas Party. The list goes on.
Many of our events are funded by our Residents Activities Fund, for which we raise funds in any way that we can through events such as Raffles, Sponsored Walks and donations from local companies.
As we have a very active social life, we also produce a newsletter for our residents and their families to keep them informed of all our activities. We actively encourage families to participate in all of our activities, and are very fortunate in the support that we do receive by way of donations of time, donation of items and volunteers for transport and would not be able to do the things that we do without them!!!
We also have a good selection of in-house individual games for our residents to participate in, such as board games, quoits, cards, art materials, modelling, books (and a visiting library), video's and a good range of musical tapes and compact discs.
